Pamela Bowen is an author, ministry leader, and founder of the Journey Beyond the Well movement. Her story is one of survival, faith, and transformation. She has faced abuse, trauma, divorce, and loss, yet she now uses her voice and her pen to guide other women toward hope and purpose.
Her book My Journey Beyond the Well: Finding Redemption, Identity, and Purpose draws from her own life and from the biblical story of the woman at the well. It is both a memoir and a devotional. In it, Pamela shares how God met her in the midst of deep pain and shame, and how He gave her not only healing but also a mission. She has also created a companion journal to help women reflect and pray as they work through their own journeys.
Pamela’s calling began in some of the hardest chapters of her life. She was only fifteen when she married an addict. She lost her first child to sudden infant death syndrome. While pregnant, she had to run for her safety. These events left deep scars, but they also became the soil where faith and purpose took root. She speaks openly about her past, believing that honesty brings freedom and that no story is wasted in the hands of God.
Through her ministry, Pamela leads Bible studies, retreats, and online groups. She meets women in their broken places and walks with them toward lasting freedom in Christ. Many of the women she serves have felt unseen or silenced, even in church. She creates a safe place for them to speak, heal, and find their voices again. She has seen lives change, not only emotionally but also spiritually.
Pamela also equips ministry leaders and faith-based communities with tools to support women in crisis. She believes that the church can be a place of restoration when it meets people with grace and truth. Her resources are designed to help leaders respond with wisdom and compassion.
She lives in Florida with her husband Kevin. Together they enjoy ministry work, traveling in their RV, and spending time with their blended family.
